FOR OVER 25 YEARS, Music on the Strand has been privileged to represent some of the most qualified Mobile Disc Jockeys in the industry. The criteria used when evaluating a DJ’s qualifications are based on their: programming judgement, repertoire, sound quality, mixing proficiency, motivating ability, master of ceremonies skills, and staging expertise.
|
As members of the American Disc Jockey Association, the DJs from amongst our staff whom we refer for any engagement must:
|
- Be Professional
- Satisfy Each Customer
- Strive for Perfection
- Provide Quality Entertainment
- Deliver what is Promised
| | | |
These are important standards, and the disc jockey's ability to fulfill them is not only defined by the talent he has, but also how dedicated he is to improving his presentation on all levels:
|
QUALITY OF SOUND (To what degree is the music free of distortion?)
REPERTOIRE (What music is readily available, and how quickly can it be accessed?)
PROGRAMMING JUDGMENT (What songs should be played for the best response, and when is the best time to play them?)
MIXING PROFICIENCY (How smoothly and/or creatively is one selection combined with the next to achieve the desired effect?)
MOTIVATING ABILITY (What is said and done to provide the grounds for good times, party fun, with the most participation and dancing?)
MASTER OF CEREMONIES SKILLS (How effectively and comfortably folks' are kept informed, their attention captured, maintained, guided, and directed.
STAGING EXPERTISE (How much shaping and preparation take place in order to provide the most entertaining results?) | |
| And, AFTER 25 YEARS, it's obvious: those Professional DJs who have spent and continue to spend the most amount of time and energy preparing to meet client expectations, organizing music, maintaining professional sound equipment, keeping up with the latest party-hosting techniques, learning the newest dances, and staying musically current, most frequently have the most to give when it comes to delivering the goods on the job.
